The day I discovered Bikram Yoga, I intuitively knew it was to be my path. It was the instantaneous shift in energy after completing my first class, the challenge physically and mentally that had me feeling I was vibrating on a higher level, like walking on air.

I have now been practicing Bikram Yoga for 7 years and graduated from Teacher Training in Los Angeles, Spring 2005. I was addicted to the practice, but my greatest challenge was to have the confidence to stand in front of a full class of strangers and guide the students through their personal practice. That is something that I not only feared above all, but has changed my life on a level I never thought possible. It has been the most empowering and rewarding experience, which has opened up for me greater self-confidence, self-worth, mind/body awareness and compassion.

Practicing and teaching is now such an integral part of me and my life. Bikram Yoga is a universal practice and I have been blessed to teach around the world. I gained full time employment in Korea. I taught in Seoul and opened a new studio in Daegu, the third largest city in the south of Korea. Due to the language barrier it was essential to demonstrate every posture for the first month whilst I quickly learnt Korean for the purpose of teaching. It was beneficial to the students for me to teach bi-lingual classes, not only did they practice the yoga they also learnt English. I've also taught in Ibiza, Spain and most recently Laval, Canada.

In 2009 I travelled to Palm Springs, California to train in the advanced series under Bikram and Emmy Cleaves. I have had the wonderful opportunity to both compete and also coach students for the Yoga Championships. Most recently I was in Los Angeles coaching our Australian competitor for the 2011 International Bishnu Ghosh Yoga Championships. I am so honored and blessed to have been a part of the team; our competitor placed top 10 in the world!

Bikram yoga is a gift and a blessing to me for which I am forever grateful. I love to inspire and be inspired by every student, to see their progress and witness the positive changes manifest in their lives. The yoga is challenging, not only physically, but mentally and often emotionally. But the more you practice the happier and healthier you become, the fitter you become and the more flexible you become, not only body but mind as well!
