Adam RoseI am the co-owner of Bikram Yoga Perth and South with my wife Jen. I spent much of my youth battling severe sporting injuries including operations to my ankles, knees and hip. It wasn't until I dislocated both shoulders at the age of 24 that I decided enough was enough. -
Dee TippetI tried my first Bikram yoga class in 2006 after seeing an advertisement in the local paper. It sounded interesting and I'd done other form of yoga, so I deaded down to my local studio in Melbourne to give this 'hot yoga' a go. -
Helen FletcherI tried to leave the room after about ten minutes! I was encouraged to stay and thanked the teacher afterwards as I then went on to do 300 classes in my first year of practice. -
Jason McDonaldIf you were to tell me 5 years ago when I first moved to Australia (from New Zealand) that I would be standing up on a podium teaching yoga to a room full of yogis, I would have laughed, shaken my head and thought you were crazy! -
Gen ForemanEveryone remembers their first Bikram class, mine was in Singapore whilst working as a flight attendant. It was my intention to do a little stretching after herniating a disk. -
Jenny RoseOriginally from Perth, I had been running my own business as a massage therapist for th epast 8 years when I knew I needed to search fro something new. Although I helped in the rehabilitation of many clients from injuries, I was frustrated at the increasing amount of people I had coming in with general aches and pains. -
Kanako SatoI realised that anything is possible as long as you try with love and passion. -
Maja SedicI remember leaving the studio after my first class feeling like I was flying... or had I just been steamrolled? I couldn't tell. Whichever it was, i was hooked. -
Renee OppelI grew up in Dallas, Texas moved to Fort Collins, Colorado in December 2007 to study nutrition and fitness. -
Shawn TaylorWhen I walked into my first Bikram Yoga Class in Santa Cruz, CA in 2005 I had no idea how much my life was about to be changed. I had a beat up body from years of competitive snowboarding was 18Kilos overweight and stiff as a board. I don't remember much of the first class except all the instructions flying at me, sweating my brains out and seeing all these people make it look easy.
